Around 2018 I was looking for a new trumpet, so my dad and I took to an online auction site and started looking around. He found a trumpet that was simply labeled "Vintage Trumpet." Only by zooming in on the low-quality picture was my dad able to make out the words "Earl Williams" inscribed on the bell of the horn. We did a little digging and found some information about Williams and his trombones. Without much further discussion, my dad and I decided that this horn was worth our money. Surprisingly, the bid at that time was only $80 or so, probably because many people couldn't see what brand of trumpet it was. We bid on the trumpet, and a few hours later, the horn was ours! Upon arriving at our house, the trumpet was taken to a repair shop for some valve work and dent repair. Since then it has been enjoying a comfortable life, often admired but seldom played (I'm too afraid something will happen to it!).
